i have this antivirus called mcafee.. but even i se this my comp keep getting weird like having virus.. i need to know which antivirus work the best.. and free is better..

The top "Virus-Detecting" AntiVirus (free) is Avira AntiVir.

Though, it is extremely knowledgable on knowing a Virus, it does not provide enough features many feel. (I use it and love it, but many have their doubts about it.) Its detection rate is consistantly between 95-99%

Avast! Home Edition Provides the "All-in-one" Protection for an antivirus. No Firewall of Coures, But Many Resistant Sheilds.

Avast!Home Edition is another AntiVirus supported by myself. It contains about 88.7% Detection Rate, which is fairly good. I prefer lighter software, but this does get the job done very often.

The next one, is the Most Popular, But In my opinion That doesn't mean the best, AVG Free Edition.

At best this program is "Mediocre". It has many features, and a simple UserFriendly User-Interface. But its detection rates are not very good.

It has a great "In-The-Wild" Detection Rate, meaning it can detect many Unknown Viruses, or Malware. But its "In-the-Zoo" Detection rate is normally rated between a 70% to a 85%.

Of course the choice is yours, My preference is between Avast! %26 Avira. But many also prefer AVG, I personally don't because of its low detection rate.
